Photo - Wendy's Lobster and Caviar Sandwich

I have mentioned this several times before, but here are some actual photos I took on a recent visit to the Omotesando Wendy's. Actual photos of sandwiches are often messy and this is no exception, but you can see the caviar on top of the lobster. I shelled out 1,280 yen for this one sandwich. It was very good, no doubt, and I would probably order it again if money were no issue.

Gusto Mentaiko Mayo Potatoes‏

Gusto is offering potatoes topped with mentaiko (spicy cod eggs) and mayonnaise. Mentaiko and mayonnaise on potatoes is a very common item in Japan. One reason I mention it here is in contrast to yesterday when I mentioned the use of Hokkaido potatoes in a different Gusto side dish. Here at the same restaurant, they are advertising Idaho potatoes. Japanese restaurants and customers pay attention to where ingredients are sourced, and it is often prominent on the menu.
